Welcome to Nouveau Recluse – A New Way Out/In
July 19, 2008
So often the concept of solitude can be hard to grasp and accept in a society which over emphasizes the value of the mass and not the value of the individual. Inundated with constant requests ‘to be a team player’ or ‘work well with others’ the individual is at a loss of what to do when placed alone. Frustration can leed way to panic and guilt that life is just wasting away. Too quickly this fear is assumed as loneliness and the individual becomes unhappy and guilt ridden over the need to be alone.
It must be remembered that solitude does not equal loneliness. To be alone is a refuge, not a malady demanding to be cured. Take a few minutes to rest and bring your mind to focus on the individuality that encompasses you, the person you are. Can you be with yourself, when you are by yourself?
Fear not the role of applying yourself to the teaming masses, leave that role to somebody else. You are not withdrawing into yourself, you are merely being yourself.
Nouveau Recluse provides a guiding path to the sanctity of the self. You too can learn true benefits of being alone and how natural a part of being alone can be in your life.
REMEMBER, SOLITUDE WORKS!

Keep it Surreal
July 18, 2008
I am a firm believer in the proverb “Keep it surreal”.
Most of the general public knows the standard “Keep it real’ slogan.
This doesn’t suffice in today’s world.
